India Area Youth Camp 2011-12
Wish you a very Happy Diwali.
As announced in the second Area Council, Area Youth Camp 2011-12 will be held at Yellagiri, Tamilnadu. Details of the camp as well as certain instructions are also given below. You are requested to go through the same and comply with it..
1. Area Youth Camp 2011-12 is scheduled to be held from 27th to 29th December, 2011.
2. The venue of the Camp will be YMCA Camp site, Yellagiri, Tamilnadu.
3. The camp will start at 10.00 am on 27th December, 2011 and will end with the Breakfast on 29th Morning. The participants are requested to schedule their travel accordingly.
4. Those who are coming on 26th December, should inform the undersigned in advance, so that accommodation can be arranged accordingly.
5. We shall make necessary arrangements to pick the campers from Jolarpettai or Thirupattoor Railway Stations at a fixed time, details of which shall be informed to you later.
6. Those who fail to reach one of these stations on the specified time may please make their own arrangements to reach the venue on time.
7. Children of Y’s Men or Y’s Women of age group 16 to 22 are eligible to participate. Members from Youth clubs, who are not children of Y’s Men or Y’s Women, are not eligible to attend the camp.
8. Preference will be given to those, who have not participated in Area Youth Camp so far. Those who had participated in Area Youth Camps twice or more are not eligible to participate again.
9. Regional Directors are requested to conduct Youth camps at the Regional level and then select candidates based on their performance for participation in Area Youth Camp.
10. The allotment of participation to each Region is as per the following. MWIR and SWIR 11 each, CIR, SIR and WIR 6 each. However if there are additional seats that will be allotted as per the norms fixed by the AREA TEAM.
11. The participants should necessarily be children of Y’s Men or Y’s Women and it should be certified by the Regional Director.
12. Campers are advised to bring warm clothing, canvass shoes and musical instruments
13. A Y’s Woman Leader will be in charge of female campers throughout the camp
14. No candidate will be admitted to the camp, unless certified by the Regional Director.
15. A nominal registration fee of Rs. 200/- has to be paid by the participant at the time of registration.
16. An application format is enclosed with this letter, which may be duly filled by each applicant and counter signed by Regional Director. You can take photocopies of this form.
17. Duly filled forms should reach to the undersigned on or before 27th November, 2011. Scanned copies can be sent to josephkot9@gmail.com
18. You are requested to inform me the details of the Youth Camps conducted in your Region and send us a report along with photographs of the camp.
19. We invite All Regional Directors to attend the Area Youth Camp as observers. Necessary accommodation will be provided by the Area.
