YMC Pathanamthitta Central is sworn to social service . It has been associated with the Peace Valley School for the Mentally Retarded at Mallassery for several years . A free medical camp was organized for the mentally challenged children and their family members on 31st December 2008 at the Town Hall , Pathanamthitta . An awareness programme was conducted .Free lunch and New Year cakes were provided for the participants.
The District Collector inaugurated the function . The District Panchayat President attended the function . YMC was represented by Ym. KK Cheriyanjee , the Club President and Ymt. Dr. Jaicy Philip (psychologist).
